Political activist Morara Kebaso has stirred debate, claiming former president Uhuru Kenyatta and President William Ruto are secretly working together.
Kebaso’s comments came after Ruto’s 2024 Cabinet reshuffle, which brought in several figures linked to Uhuru, including former Health CS Mutahi Kagwe and ex-Kiambu Governor William Kabogo.
He argued their appointments show Uhuru’s interests are represented in the current government.
“If you believe Ruto is working with Uhuru but not with Jubilee, you need urgent help,” Kebaso wrote on X.
He challenged voters who think Uhuru gave Cabinet slots without political cooperation, calling them out for misunderstanding the situation.
The reshuffle, which brought experienced politicians and technocrats into government, was widely seen as a move to strengthen Ruto’s administration and consolidate political support.
Kebaso, however, sees it as evidence of a behind-the-scenes alliance with Uhuru.
"If in 100% you believe Uhuru gave 4 cabinet secretaries to represent his interests in Ruto’s cabinet but Jubilee is not working with Ruto then you are the kind of voter that shouldn’t vote," he added.
