Lawyer Donald Kipkorir Links Poor Governance to US Visa Restrictions for Third World Nations

Lawyer Donald Kipkorir has expressed support for tightened U.S. visa policies affecting citizens from Africa, Latin America, and the Middle East.

Posting on social media platform X, Kipkorir argued that poor governance and mismanagement of natural resources in these regions justify restrictions on immigration and refugee admissions.

Kipkorir highlighted the resource wealth of several African nations, citing the Democratic Republic of Congo’s vast mineral deposits, Nigeria’s oil reserves, Mozambique’s natural gas, and South Sudan’s forest resources.

He also referenced Liberia and Sierra Leone’s diamond and gold deposits, and Somalia’s abundant marine resources.

Despite these endowments, Kipkorir noted that countries such as Belgium, Israel, Switzerland, and Singapore remain economically stronger due to better management and accountability systems.

“The U.S. should limit entry until citizens of Third World countries demand transparency and accountability from their leaders,” Kipkorir wrote.

He accused political elites in these regions of siphoning state resources to offshore accounts, including Dubai, undermining domestic development and public welfare.

Kipkorir’s remarks come amid continued debate over U.S. immigration rules and their impact on developing nations.
