Wiper Party leader H.E. Dr. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka has travelled to Lagos, Nigeria, to attend the Future Africa Leaders Awards (FALA), a ceremony recognising young Africans contributing significantly to governance, innovation, and social development across the continent.

According to a statement from the Wiper Patriotic Front (WPF), Dr. Kalonzo was invited as a distinguished guest by the African Leaders Awards (AFLA) founder, Chikki Onigbanjo.

The event is taking place at the Loveworld Nation Arena, Asese Base, and coincides with the final day of the year.

The WPF described the invitation as recognition of Dr. Kalonzo’s leadership track record and recent accolades, including his award as Africa Political Leader and Personality of the Year during the 10th anniversary of the London Political Summit and Awards (LPSA).

Paloma Gatabaki, the party’s Head of Communications, said the trip underscores the leader’s commitment to fostering youth empowerment and pan-African cooperation.

Dr. Kalonzo’s engagement with continental platforms reflects a continued effort by Kenyan political leaders to participate in initiatives that promote leadership excellence beyond national borders.

His attendance highlights the broader role of senior Kenyan politicians in mentoring emerging leaders and sharing governance best practices across Africa.

The Future Africa Leaders Awards focuses on celebrating young Africans who demonstrate innovation, transformative leadership, and the capacity to drive social and economic progress.

WPF noted that Dr. Kalonzo’s participation aligns with these objectives and reinforces his long-standing advocacy for strong leadership, both domestically and across the continent.

Kenya’s political landscape has seen senior leaders increasingly engage in regional and continental forums, enhancing the country’s visibility in governance and policy discussions.

Dr. Kalonzo’s presence at FALA continues this trend and positions him among a network of African leaders committed to shaping the future of the continent.
