Nairobi County Executive Committee Member for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service Geoffrey Mosiria has called on the public to assist police in tracking four women accused of assaulting an Uber driver in Kilimani, Nairobi.

The incident, which has sparked widespread outrage on social media, occurred when the women, reportedly intoxicated, confronted the driver shortly after being dropped off.

Video footage circulating online shows the women physically attacking the driver, attempting to take his phone, and damaging parts of his vehicle.

Witnesses intervened to prevent further harm, and the driver later reported the matter at Kilimani Police Station.

In a statement issued on X on Thursday night, Mosiria said police were actively searching for the suspects, who are believed to be in hiding.

He also emphasized the need to identify the Uber driver who transported them prior to the attack, noting that this information is crucial to piecing together the events leading up to the assault.

“Police are looking for the four ladies who attacked the Uber driver. They are currently in hiding,” Mosiria stated.

“Anyone with information or details of the Uber driver who dropped them should report to Kilimani Police Station or call me in confidence.”

The CEC added that a reward would be given for information leading to the suspects’ location.

“For the sake of the boy child, I will give a reward to anyone who gives police their location,” he said.

The incident has reignited public debate over violence against service workers and the need for equal enforcement of the law, with many Kenyans demanding swift action against the suspects.
