In the final chapter of his life, former MP and Cabinet minister Cyrus Jirongo led a quiet and private existence, living away from all four of his wives.

Reports reveal that during this period, he shared a Nairobi home in Gigiri with only two companions: his personal driver and his chef.

The house, however, was not his own. It belonged to a long-time political friend, one of the few who remained loyal through Jirongo’s financial and political decline.

Sources say the friend’s support allowed the former Kanu ’92 lobby leader to maintain a degree of stability and privacy despite his diminished circumstances.

Jirongo, who once wielded significant political influence and wealth, spent his days quietly strategizing on how to recover from years of setbacks.

His small household, stripped of the grandeur he once enjoyed, reflected a man adjusting to new realities while maintaining dignity.

The arrangement highlights both the loyalty of his allies and the resilience of a man navigating solitude in his final days.
