Embakasi East MP Babu Owino has reassured Kenyans he is on the mend after undergoing a medical procedure recently.
Sharing a message on X, the lawmaker expressed heartfelt thanks for the overwhelming messages of support, prayers, and goodwill he received.
“I have received, with profound humility, the concern, prayers, and messages that have poured in regarding my health,” Owino wrote.
He said the love and compassion shown by Kenyans have been a powerful source of strength for him and his family.
Owino also gave an update on his recovery, saying he is hopeful and determined to resume his parliamentary duties in the new year. “By God’s grace, I am now on the path to recovery,” he added.
The MP did not forget fellow Kenyans who spent the festive season in hospital beds, away from loved ones.
He prayed for their healing and comfort, reminding the public that no one should face illness alone.
“No Kenyan should ever feel alone in suffering, and no family should be driven to despair because of illness,” he said.
Quoting Jeremiah 30:17, Owino emphasized hope: “I will give you back your health and heal your wounds, says the Lord.”
His message comes amid growing public interest in the health of political leaders, with Kenyans closely watching updates from MPs and other national figures.
Owino’s openness has been welcomed by supporters, many of whom have expressed relief and optimism at his progress.
As he continues his recovery, residents of Embakasi East and followers across the country are sending messages of encouragement, eager to see the MP back in action.
Owino’s candid update not only reassures his constituents but also highlights the role of compassion and unity during challenging times.
