Gachagua on The Spot For Allegedly Working With Ruto Behind The Scenes

Controversial blogger Cyprian Nyakundi has weighed in on the growing debate around Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua’s political intentions, accusing him of focusing more on building a power base than addressing the country’s pressing challenges.

In a statement shared on X, Nyakundi dismissed Jubilee Party Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni’s claims that Gachagua is quietly working with President William Ruto, arguing that such assertions are neither new nor surprising.

According to Nyakundi, Gachagua has consistently avoided speaking on the major problems facing Kenyans, including the national debt crisis and the rising tide of youth unemployment.

“Rigathi has never explained how he intends to deal with the big problems facing this country. I challenge his supporters to show even one statement where he has promised to confront these issues,” Nyakundi wrote.

The blogger alleged that Gachagua’s political energy is directed toward strengthening the Democratic Consolidation Party (DCP), which he described as a bargaining vehicle rather than a platform for solutions.

He claimed the Deputy President’s strategy is to rally governors, senators, and MPs under the party’s umbrella as a show of political might, while neglecting the everyday struggles of ordinary Kenyans.

“His goal is to use them as a show of power and not about solutions. It is about appearing powerful while Kenyans continue to suffer,” Nyakundi added in the bluntly worded statement.

Nyakundi’s remarks come at a time when political tensions in Mt. Kenya continue to rise, with factions forming around the future of both Gachagua and President Ruto.
