A sharp war of words has broken out between Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi and Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi, exposing deepening divisions in Kenya’s public discourse.
The confrontation was triggered by Ahmednasir’s criticism of the legislator’s communication style and leadership approach.
In remarks that quickly gained traction online, the senior lawyer questioned Sudi’s clarity and suitability for public office.
“You can listen to Hon Sudi and get zero of what he is trying to communicate, despite his best effort,” Ahmednasir said. “We need sober, mature leaders, not ranting rabble-rousers.”
His comments ignited immediate reactions, drawing both support and criticism across political and legal circles.
Sudi responded with a strongly worded statement, dismissing the criticism and launching a direct attack on Ahmednasir’s character and record.
“I didn’t have time to reply, but let me reply now,” Sudi said. “What exactly are you fighting with a Class 2 person for? A classified conman who preys on his own people.”
In the response, the MP made a series of allegations against the lawyer, accusing him of misleading clients and engaging in questionable dealings, though he did not provide evidence to support the claims.
“You’ve conned your own people with fake legal counsel, and you still have the audacity to lecture everyone?” Sudi added.
The Kapseret MP also linked Ahmednasir to political interests, suggesting he was attempting to draw him into controversy for attention.
“I’ve noticed you’ve been trying to drag me into your useless rhetoric to get my attention. We know your heart is with Wamunyoro. Go dine with your payroll master,” he said.
