A man has sparked intense debate online after sharing a deeply personal account of how a broken relationship, influenced by his mother’s decision, allegedly led to unexplained misfortunes in his life.
The anonymous confession, posted on the Facebook page Chinemerem, details how he met a girlfriend he describes as a virgin and promised to wait until marriage before intimacy.
However, he says he later broke that promise during their introduction ceremony, where he says he “deflowered her” as preparations for marriage were underway.
According to him, his mother initially gave consent to the union and even requested that the woman stay with her for a short period to observe her character. It is during this time, he claims, that his mother changed her mind.
“She said she was withdrawing her consent after observing her. She said the girl would make a terrible wife,” he wrote.
The man says he agreed with his mother’s decision, ending the relationship despite the woman’s emotional reaction.
He insists his mother, who raised him as a single parent, only had his best interests at heart.
However, the story took a dramatic turn when he alleged that the former girlfriend began cursing him following the breakup.
He now believes the curses could be linked to a series of setbacks he claims to be experiencing.
“Strange things are happening to me. Money no longer stays in my hands. Business deals are collapsing without explanation,” he wrote, adding that he is now unsure whether the developments are coincidence or something spiritual.
He further claims that a business partnership recently ended abruptly without clear reasons, worsening his financial situation.
