A young woman has sparked debate online after anonymously sharing a frustrating experience with her three-month boyfriend, who allegedly invited her for repeated sleepovers but offered no food or basic hospitality—then reacted angrily when she finally cooked for both of them.
In the anonymous message shared to Facebook influencer Being Wendy, the woman asked for her identity to remain hidden as she sought public opinion on how to handle the situation.
She explained that her boyfriend, who recently relocated to Kisumu but lives in a different estate, had been inviting her over at night for sleepovers.
On each occasion, she said he would pick her up in the evening, but no meals were prepared or offered upon arrival.
According to her account, the pattern repeated itself for three consecutive visits, leaving her hungry and uncomfortable.
On one of the nights, she said she eventually decided to go to the kitchen early in the morning to prepare something for both of them.
That decision, however, allegedly triggered an angry reaction from the man. She claims he woke up shouting, questioning why she had entered his kitchen and cooked without permission.
“I told him I was hungry,” she wrote, adding that the man insisted he had already informed her it was a sleepover and expected her to have eaten beforehand.
The situation escalated further when, instead of appreciating the gesture, the man allegedly switched off the gas and told her to go back to sleep.
Later in the morning, he dropped her off at her place but reminded her to replace the tomatoes she had used to prepare the meal.
The unexpected demand left her shocked, especially after what she described as repeated visits without even basic care or provision.
“People, what would you do with such a person?” she asked at the end of her message, seeking advice from online users.
The story has since triggered mixed reactions, with some users questioning the man’s hospitality expectations, while others argued that boundaries in relationships should be clearly defined from the start.
