ODM party leader Oburu Odinga has called on the government to urgently investigate the disappearance of Hon. Raphael Tuju, emphasizing the need for transparency and accountability.

The statement comes as Odinga also received a historic traditional endorsement from the elders of the Jaramogi family and the broader Jokawuor Clan, reinforcing the legacy of the Odinga political lineage.

Speaking on Sunday, Odinga described the endorsement as “far more than a family milestone,” noting its symbolic significance in Kenya’s democratic journey.

He pledged to uphold the responsibility with diligence, honor, and a commitment to national unity, citing the values of continuity and wisdom embedded in the Oginga and Odinga legacy.

Amid this historic recognition, Odinga addressed the pressing issue of Tuju’s disappearance.

He urged the government and relevant investigative agencies to act swiftly, calling for a transparent and thorough inquiry to clarify the circumstances surrounding the former Cabinet Secretary’s whereabouts.

“I have urgently called upon the government, through the relevant investigative bodies, to look into this matter with transparency,” Odinga stated.

Political analysts highlight that Odinga’s intervention adds significant public and political pressure, given his stature and the influence of traditional endorsements in shaping civic and political discourse.

His call reflects broader concerns about governance, accountability, and the protection of public figures in Kenya.

Odinga concluded his remarks by reaffirming his dedication to social justice, civic responsibility, and national unity.

“Thank you, and may we move forward together in unity,” he said, framing both the traditional endorsement and the call for action on Tuju’s case as part of a broader commitment to leadership and public service.
