Pauline Njoroge Engaging Supporters During Kitengela Rally.

Political and communication strategist Pauline Njoroge has responded firmly to critics questioning her readiness for elective politics, days after declaring her intention to vie for political office in Nairobi County.

Her remarks follow public scrutiny over her appearance at a political rally in Kitengela on Sunday, an event spearheaded by Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna.

In a detailed statement, Njoroge said she expected both support and resistance as she transitions from digital activism to frontline politics.

She revealed that a political mentor had advised her to anticipate unconditional support from some quarters while others would oppose her regardless of her actions.

“For a long time, they dismissed me as a keyboard warrior,” she said, noting that critics previously argued she would never engage directly with grassroots politics.

According to Njoroge, the narrative shifted once she began attending public engagements and rallies.

Her participation in the Kitengela rally attracted online criticism after video clips circulated showing her struggling to address the crowd.

Njoroge attributed the difficulty to technical challenges, alleging that the sound system at the venue had been interfered with, making communication nearly impossible.

She accused detractors of selectively editing footage to ridicule her speaking ability, arguing that leadership cannot be measured solely by oratory skills.

Drawing a historical and biblical reference, she pointed to leaders who achieved significant impact despite communication challenges.

“If eloquence alone defined leadership, our country would be performing far better than it is today,” she stated, framing her political journey as one focused on growth, service, and long-term impact.

Njoroge maintained that criticism will not deter her ambitions, emphasizing that she is prepared to learn and improve where necessary.

She described her decision to seek public office as irreversible and motivated by a broader vision beyond social media commentary and political theatrics.

Her entry into Nairobi politics signals a shift from digital advocacy to active participation in governance debates, setting the stage for what could become a closely watched political transition as the country gradually turns its attention toward future electoral contests.
