From the outside, my life looked fine. I smiled when people greeted me. I laughed during conversations. I even encouraged others when they were struggling.
But deep inside, I was breaking. Every smile I wore was heavy, every laugh forced. I had mastered the art of pretending that everything was okay, while silently falling apart.
Each night, when the world went quiet, my pain became loud. I would lie awake thinking about how different my life had turned out from what I once dreamed. I had lost confidence, direction, and peace.
