For many years, my life was a long road of disappointment, shame, and silent tears. I was born and raised in a humble home, just like many young Kenyans who dream of wearing the police uniform one day.
From a young age, I admired police officers. I loved their discipline, their courage, and the respect they commanded in society.
I told myself, “One day, I will wear that uniform.” I didn’t know that the journey would break me before it rebuilt me.
After finishing school, I prepared myself fully for the police recruitment. I trained my body, read motivational books, and prayed every night.
When the first recruitment day came, I was confident. I met all the physical requirements, passed the fitness tests, and even impressed some officers.
