Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi has turned a long-standing promise into reality by gifting his devoted aide, Hermstone Makam, a brand-new three-bedroom house.
The MP took to social media to share the inspiring story of Makam’s 14-year journey from a car washer to a trusted household aide.
Sudi recalled meeting Makam in 2011 on Riara Road in Nairobi, where the young man volunteered to wash his car. Impressed by his honesty and work ethic, Sudi brought him on board to help with household duties.

“When I first met him, I saw he was hardworking and honest, so I decided to take him in,” Sudi said. “I asked if he'd be willing to work for me because I saw he was a good person.”
After moving to Eldoret, Sudi said Makam stayed by his side, managing a remote compound without electricity and taking care of daily chores, including gardening and maintenance, while Sudi built his home.
Over the years, Makam’s dedication earned Sudi’s trust and admiration.
“He never reminded me, but he stood by me for 14 years, transforming the place where we stayed,” the MP noted.
This week, Sudi fulfilled his promise, handing over a three-bedroom house to Makam as a reward for his loyalty, resilience, and honesty.
