For a long time, I kept quiet about what was happening to me. I feared being labeled mad, cursed, or attention-seeking. During the day, my life looked normal.
I went to work, spoke with people, laughed when necessary. But every night, the moment darkness settled, my world changed. Sleep no longer brought rest. It brought fear.
I began seeing things that had no place among the living—faces I recognized too well, voices I had buried years ago, and snakes that slithered in places where no creature should exist.
It started subtly. I would wake up at exactly 3:00 a.m., my heart racing for no clear reason. At first, I thought it was stress.
Then I started seeing my late grandmother standing quietly at the corner of my room, staring at me without speaking. I would blink, sit up, even turn on the lights—but the image stayed.
