Nairobi-based televangelist Lucy Wa Ngunjiri has publicly predicted that Embakasi East MP Babu Owino could serve as Kenya’s next president.
The founder of Prayers Beyond Boundaries (PBB) Ministries made the remarks while addressing attendees at a recent church event, referring to the legislator as “Mheshimiwa Daktari” and highlighting his potential for national leadership.
Lucy Wa Ngunjiri described Babu Owino as having only minor adjustments to make before assuming the country’s highest office.
“He only needs to do a few things, just a few adjustments, but according to me, you are a future president of this nation,” she said during her sermon.
The evangelist added that her prophecy spans beyond local boundaries and urged the MP to remember her prediction if he achieves the position.
Babu Owino, a prominent figure in Kenya’s youthful political landscape, has represented Embakasi East in Nairobi since 2017.
Known for his vocal advocacy on social issues, Owino has previously contested the position of Nairobi Senator and has been a visible participant in parliamentary debates.
His rising profile has made him a frequent subject of political commentary in Nairobi and across the country.
Kenya has a history of political leaders emerging from Nairobi constituencies to national prominence, including former Presidents Mwai Kibaki and Uhuru Kenyatta, highlighting the potential significance of such endorsements.
While political prophecies are often symbolic, they can influence public perception, particularly among faith-based communities in Kenya, where religious leaders frequently play a role in shaping narratives around leadership and morality.
Prayers Beyond Boundaries is a Nairobi-based ministry that engages in nationwide outreach, combining traditional evangelical activities with televised services.
