Veteran master of ceremonies Chris Kirwa has sparked fresh conversation on diet-related health issues after publicly sharing his long struggle with chronic stomach ailments and the lifestyle change that transformed his health.
In a social media post, Kirwa revealed that he spent nearly two decades battling ulcers, acidity and persistent heartburn, conditions that saw him make frequent visits to hospitals and pharmacies.
Despite regular treatment, the symptoms persisted, disrupting his daily life and work in the entertainment industry.
The turning point, he said, came after discovering that he was lactose intolerant. Kirwa explained that eliminating milk and other dairy products from his diet led to an immediate and dramatic improvement in his health.

The pain, he noted, disappeared almost overnight, and he stopped relying on medication altogether.
According to Kirwa, he has now lived symptom-free for more than a decade, marking eleven years of stable health after three initial years without any recurrence of the condition.
He described the experience as life-changing, attributing his recovery not to prolonged medication but to understanding how his body reacted to certain foods.
His remarks have resonated widely, particularly as lifestyle-related illnesses continue to rise in Kenya.
Health experts have consistently warned that food intolerances often go undiagnosed, with symptoms sometimes mistaken for chronic conditions requiring long-term medication.
Kirwa used his story to urge Kenyans to be more attentive to their bodies and dietary habits, noting that not all medical consultations focus on nutrition as a possible root cause.
He encouraged individuals experiencing persistent discomfort to observe how specific foods affect them and to seek proper medical guidance when making dietary changes.
The post has prompted renewed public discussion on nutrition, food sensitivity and the role of diet in long-term health management.
